But first I'd like to pose a simple question to you: Why do you workout? Or perhaps, why don’t you?

Let's face it, whether you're a beginner or seasoned athlete, the daily workouts aren't always first on our list of priorities. Many of us quite often get sidetracked into thinking we MUST ride that bicycle, run on the treadmill or lift the heaviest weight we can lift in order to achieve some kind of tangible result. No doubt that having a consistent routine is important, but what isn't as important is the "same ole" routine that creates a mental framework which tells us that exercise is not only a chore but that it must be painful for us to make any gains.

To stretch our selves beyond that of the ordinary is the potential representative of all beings, by which is most often met with a subsequent pressure by which we anabolize or catabolize in the confrontation thereof.
The premise of building muscular strength, as with the learning of any type of skill or condition is based on the role of adaptation. Whereas a little extra pressure is placed upon an established space in order to effect a reactionary adjustment which acts as an impetus of growth by compensation.

Text Box: Having a well-rounded repertoire is of course to one’s advantage, yet the truth is that few people have ever been introduced to the fundamentals of exercise and without a firm foundation from which to branch, one runs risk of being complacent or rather stuck in the mud.

The majority of people were introduced to exercise through gym class. Now just think back to those gym classes you had taken and how much, if any, could be applied to your present fitness program.
For one to maintain a long-term relationship with fitness, it is essential to take the time and educate oneself with a basic knowledge of fitness.

Exercise form and positioning is crucial in the training of most any type of movement. The consistent utilization of a muscle group through a simulated range of motion will develop the target area to the specifications of its said design.

We’ve all heard that “you are what you eat” and the way we exercise is not so different. Our musculature is being reshaped with every move, whether our bodies remain to be static or in motion. Simply notice the anatomical inflections that are spoken through the body language of others and you will often become aware of a story that is said, without saying.

Many styles of exercise utilize unique and characteristic basic movements which strengthen and hone the practitioner in a specific format that is unique to the sport. Look at the physique of a baseball player in comparison with that of a football or basketball player.

With the right knowledge, it is possible reshape your body into a wholly different representative of its genetic potential. Whether the choice is to lose body fat or accumulate more muscle, contrology is key. The concept of contrology was first introduced by Joseph Pilates, the founder of Pilates.

Mind & body are unitarily involved in every bodily function and have everything to do with exercise, therefore exercise is much more than the stereotypical mindlessness by which it is so portrayed.
